Jesus "Chuy" Ramirez Nabs First Reign Goal of 2021 Season

Reign FK kicked off their first ever National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) season this past Saturday versus fellow league newcomer, and old time rival, Oklahoma City 1889.

There was a great show of support from the city's fans.

After only 16 minutes into the 1st half, Jesus “Chuy” Ramirez found the back of the net off of an attempted clearance from an 1889 defender, giving Reign FK an early 1-0 lead.

The home side remained one goal up until the heartbreaking last minute of second half injury time, when OKC found the back of the net, ending the game in a 1-1 draw. 

Head Coach Matt Mason had this to say: “We went into the game with a system, the boys executed that system very well. Unfortunate to give up 2 points, but we’ll gladly take 1 to start the season”.

F.K. will be back in action at home this Saturday, May 8th, 2021 at 7:00pm vs Tulsa Athletic.
